Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off

HISTORIC VOLUSIA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS &
AGRICULTURE CENTER
3100 E. New York Ave. (State Road 44 and Interstate
4)
DeLAND, FLORIDA - 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM

The
“Hottest Event in Town” will once again
transform the Historic Volusia County Fairgrounds, 3100
E. New York Ave (State Road 44 and Interstate 4) DeLand,
Florida into a festive, family event that will draw
competitors and visitors from all over the United States.
The competition will be sanctioned by the Chili Appreciation
Society International (CASI), and contestants will vie
for trophies, bragging rights, and CASI points to be
used for entry into the Terlinqua, Texas National Chili
Cook-Off. While the unique chili and showmanship entries
(best costume, booth design, or “show”)
are judged by local “Celebrities”, the Public
will determine the winner of People’s Choice Award.
There will be food, entertainment, children’s
games, arts & crafts vendors – a family day
of fun and excitement!
The West
Volusia Historical Society is located at the Henry
A. DeLand House Museum and Conrad Education Center at
137 W. Michigan Avenue in DeLand, Florida. Following
the mission set by our early Settlers, the Society is
celebrating it’s 33rd year preserving local history
through museum displays, programs, education, research
materials and community outreach. Community support
is vital to the continued success of our efforts and
we hope you will join us for our unique streetscape
venue.
